Teacher Workshops
The Bahamas National Trust offers workshops for all types of educators in aspects of environmental education, providing experienced ‘outdoor classroom’ assistance on environmental topics both marine and terrestrial.
These short workshops, are aimed at giving hands on experience to teachers, enabling them to better meet the needs and demands of fulfiling environmental based aspects of the curriculum. These workshops also award professional development hours that are recognized by the Ministry of Education.
Teachers that take part in the Bahamas National Trust workshops become part of a community where they can share ideas, experiences, get first hand; accurate scientific information as well as receive an abundant supply of classroom aids.
