Christmas Jollification – A Winter Wonderland of Crafts and Holiday Fun
On Saturday and Sunday November 21st and 22nd attendees to the annual BNT Christmas Jollification will be walking in a Winter Wonderland. The annual event features arts and crafts created by some of the most accomplished artisans in The Bahamas.
With amazing decorations by Cacique Food Art and a sampling of holiday spirits provided by Bristol Wines and Spirits the event which takes place at The Retreat on Village Road is sure to put you in a holiday mood.
This annual event will feature a wonderful selection of products from Bristol Wines and Spirits for your holiday gathering and back by popular demand will be the Bristol Beer Bar featuring Sands Beer and the all of the top college and professional football games scheduled that weekend.
Bristol’s Wine manager, Rusty Scates will be on hand to provide a tasting of the seasons Beaujolais Noveau which is officially released on the third Thursday of November.
Patrons will be able to purchase homemade jams and jellies from Ma Wells, Confetti Catering and Bahama Bee. Beautiful Christmas decorations and gifts will be available for Island Wreaths, Jansu Pottery, Androsia Smiles, Darcia Christie and many other talented craftspersons.
Stepping Stone Quilters will be exhibiting their amazing quilts, Robin Hardy will have beautiful hand turned wood products and Sun Drop Creations will be featuring their homemade ice cream.
If bling is your thing, the event features a selection of jewelry by Fire and Ice, Little Star Creations, Origins Bahamas and Pirates and Pearls that will certainly help you accessorize your holiday outfits.
The ever popular Children’s Crafts area will entertain your child with creative Christmas crafts sponsored by Bluebird Juice and the new Jolly Land addition will feature special presentations on endangered species by Ardastra Gardens and sea turtles by Atlantis Water features.
Gardening enthusiasts will be able to purchase Poinsettias from Tall Pines Nursery, Orchids from Flamingo Nurseries and beautiful bromeliads in distinctive ceramic pottery from The Potting Shed. The horticulture presentation created by the local nurseries is worth attendance alone.
The Jollification also features great food and The Greek Community will once again be offering Gyros, Spanakopita, Pastitsio, Baklava and Koulourakia. Hands for Hunger will have delicious soups, Lucayan Tropical with Fresh Salads and Mikey Dames with his famous roasted corn and delicious wings.
A number of Bahamian Charities will also be on hand to sell products that support their cause including Abilities Unlimited, The Bahamas Humane Society and Proud Paws.
BNT members are treated to a special sneak preview and wonderful cuisine by Cacique Food Art on Friday , November 20th from 6 – 9 p.m. You must be a member to attend.
Admission to the event is $10 for the general public and $5 for BNT members Children from 2- 12 are $ 2 and under 2 are free of charge.
