Membership
Membership is the lifeblood of the Bahamas National Trust. Our members represent a "collective voice" of supporters and conscientious private and corporate citizens, who are demonstrating tangible endorsements of the important work of the Trust. The growing membership base over the years, from 66 in the first decade to more than 3,000 today, has helped make the Trust the respected organization it is today.
Membership also contributes significantly to the Trust's operating budget by contributing nearly 20% to income annually.
There are two types of Membership Structures: Ordinary BNT Membership and Support Fleet Membership
Why Join?
As with nature, there is strength in membership number and diversity. Programs are being implemented to ensure membership growth occurs for Bahamians from all walks of life across the The Bahamas, increasing support for the Bahamas National Trust and its programs.
We are the only non-profit membership organization in The Bahamas with statutory responsibility for the National Park System.
We work hard to address national environmental concerns: degradation of coral reefs, declining fisheries, wetland destruction and the need for national environmental stewardship.
If you appreciate our national park system, want to expand environmental education and want a strong voice for conservation – then please support the BNT generously.
Membership includes free admission to all national parks and BNT facilities, special discounts from a range of corporate supporters, a quarterly newsletter, invitations to special events and the opportunity to participate in worthwhile conservation action.
